Owners Bob Webb and Toni Yocum have grown succulent plants for more than 20 years, many of which were obtained from Arid Lands Greenhouses. They have traveled extensively in Africa and Arabia, looking for and photographing succulent plants. They have been to Oman, Yemen, Socotra, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa to date. They live in the Sonoran Desert, and Bob travels regularly in Baja California. Bob and Toni frequently give talks on their travels and expertise with plants. Joie Giunta is involved in most aspects of nursery operations, including the plant photographs that accompany our species descriptions and the shipping of orders. She also is heavily involved in the Tucson Cactus and Succulent Society, where among other duties she serves as librarian and helps with cactus rescue from development sites. Stan Korabell has been producing rooted cuttings, particularly of Commiphora and pachycaul trees, his specialties, and he particularly enjoys the staging of succulent plants for show. Angel Martinez helps us keep the facility running as well as watering and repotting plants.
